She established this organization one year after losing her childhood friend to suicide. He was only 19 years of age. Since 2010, LOLC has reached approximately 60,000 individuals. Every year LOLC holds an annual fashion show which showcases all sizes, heights, ages, and ethnicities. This year’s fashion show had over 750 attendees, 100 models, and titleholders from nationwide. As a QPR Certified Gatekeeper, Ms. Gearheart gives seminars to adults of all ages, teaching them the signs of suicide, and how to intervene to stop this preventable cause of death. For our youth she teaches self esteem courses. As a TruthMedia Worldwide mentor and USA Education Committee Representative, she counsels teens/youth all over the world.
Some of the titles Sherrie has held include but are not limited to: Miss Northern Suburbs MAO 2009, American Image National Miss 2010 (also awarded top interview of all contestants and supermodel award), NISP Elite Queen 2010 (awarded highest interview, speech, and formal wear), NISP Royal Achievement Queen (for all of her charity work), and her most recent title is Miss United America 2011.
